Influence of advice on self-confidence
Advice we all have had those as a kid or as a grown up from our families, teachers, even strangers. So how does an advice affect our confidence as women? Asking for advice is a noble thing to do. It is certain that you can't always make the right choices in life or have enough perspective of different things. It is a very good thing to take a look at different approach in things from people who we ask advice from. It doesn't always mean we will exactly do as told though sometimes we do. Depends on the advice given and the approach we decide to take. It helps us to grow to be good at making different choices and to not be an overly-confident person. Even though advice can be a good thing, it strongly depends on how often we ask and how dependent we are on them. You see, asking an advice every time for everything is not necessarily a good thing. It shows that we are insecure in making our own choices and are not confident enough in what will happen. If you run to someone each time you have problems it affects your decision making in a negative way.
How can this be avoided? Well point number 1 you should keep in mind is that, this is your issue not someone's, means no one can understand the problem more than the person in it. Therefore, whenever asking for an advice keep in mind that how ever much the person understands you, they will have a limited understanding of what you are going through. Point number 2 is, they could be wrong! When a person gives you advice it is based on their knowledge, emotions and experiences, which might not be very helpful all the time. It might vary a lot compared to what problem you are having and might not be the right kind of advice you really need. Point number 3 point is how helpful is the advice we are getting, because sometimes advice's you get and apply can make the thing even worse than it already was.
That being said, how can we step up and avoid all this? Well first of all don't always ask for an advice, believe enough in yourself that you will make the right choice and if it doesn't turn out the way you expect it to, then what the hell that will be a lesson learnt! Second, if you must ask for an advice don't depend on it completely, don't make it your only choice carry your own with you then look carefully into both then decide. Third and last thing don't always ask for one person or the same person/people for advice ask different people, different age groups, people with different experiences, in that way you will have different advice's to choose upon and you won't only stick to one which will help your decision making a whole lot easier.
Whenever a person is brave enough to make their own choices without anyone's opinion whether it works out or not it makes the person independent and more confident. So, my advise to you, be bold enough and confident enough to make your own decisions. If you fail to do the right thing you will get up as the strong woman as you are, learn from it and move on. Also, don't forget to ask for it when needed, after all we are all human beings and aren't perfect, even if we are confident enough!
