Is absolute confidence achievable?
Well, hmm let's see...there is no such thing as absolutely achievable when it comes human beings in general, there is no such thing as 100%, well, cause then we will be perfect. Which is impossible because we are not. But isn't that what makes us stronger every time. Here is the thing, just cause someone is confident that doesn't mean they don't have any doubt what so ever. I am here sharing my ideas and experiences with other women on how to be a confident woman, which I think I have achieved through practice, repetition and experiences. But am I always confident enough? Hell no! Don't i have doubts? Of course I do. Because we can't be 100% , we will never be. We will have second thoughts about our abilities even when it is something we know we can do, there is always that little voice in the back of our mind telling us is it possible? should I go on with this? what if this happens? what if i fail?or in my case are you crazy?! Which affects our assurance in ourselves, in turn affecting our confidence.
What can you do when this happens?
1. Know that it is OK to have this kind of doubts or insecurities. No matter how high your self-confidence is there will always be that feeling giving you doubts which is actually a good thing, because if you are having this doubts then that means you are not presumptuous. Which you should always be careful of, give yourself some space to learn new things, just cause you are confident it doesn't mean you know everything in this life. Being confident also means knowing the fact you are not always right and accepting when change needs to be done.
2. Try to figure out what is making you feel this way. It might not just be that small voice all the time(which you set aside and continue). It might be a voice that is trying to tell you something. For instance let's say you are assigned to do a job or if you are a student like me, a project. The feeling of uncertainty on getting this thing done might rise, so, ask yourself is it just that voice I should set aside or don't I actually know this thing? If the answer is you don't know it, go ahead and learn about it till you know the things you are suppose to know to get the job done. Not every doubt or uncertainty is a bad thing, it might be something that helps enhance your performance.
3. Accept the fact that you can never be perfect, remember you are not a barbie doll, you are an actual being living a real life full of ups and downs. Make sure you give it your very best as to not disappointed yourself or regret it later on for not trying harder. Never let that small voice drag you down. This is when knowing the difference comes in handy. If it is something that needs work, you will work on it but if it is just some negativity, you toss it aside and carry on with your journey. It is good to observe and listen to things but not every thing needs your time and effort, some things are just not NECESSARY. And are meant to be again tossed aside.
Last tip, don't over stress anything, if you feel like you have let yourself down, accept it and try changing the outcome of your response next time then RELAX!
